These Long Brand rod kits are made for TZ use - & have the 18 roller silver big end. 28mm big end eye / 20mm S/E eye.

There are some suppliers selling what they describe as an improved rod for TZ use - it has a 29mm B/E eye & 21mm S/E eye - in our opinion is NOT suitable for race TZ use.

We think it's probably not such a good idea to save a few quid on critical engine parts - TZ engine is costly enough to keep running - even more costly if parts break - we could easily supply a "cheaper" "meant for road bike" rod kit - and at significantly less than most other suppliers - we won't do it - be careful if someone offers you a "cheaper" option - over 40 years experience tells us there are "No Shortcuts" when building a race bike engine...
