We have been aware of the availability of these crankshafts for some time.
The original version was offered as a centre assembly with customers using
original TZ outer flywheels - the issue being that good outer flywheels were
near impossible to source - we did ask at the time (a couple of years ago)
about the possibility of having suitable new outer flywheels made - but at that
time it was not possible (at reasonable cost)
The TZ specific dimension outer flywheels are now available - so we have
decided to stock them.
We do not intend offering them with any variations - we will only offer them as
they were intended to be - fitted with the well known "Long brand TZ con rods"
with TZ type roller type outer main bearings - the TZ centre bearings cannot be
used in this assembly - but should be up to the job.
When you consider the cost of parts for a complete rebuild for a TZ crank adds up to
approx £500 (just for parts) - these cranks should be very cost effective.
